Hellbent On Drunken Debauchery
03.30.05 (4:11 am)   [edit]

My life being more work than anything else lately, thats really all I have to talk about.

Today's tasty techbit:

I never realized that by adding registry entries you can create entire directory strtuctures. Normally, when I enter the registry on a Windows system I am looking for something in particular. Something that should be there or removing something that shouldn't.

I had an asignment that required adding various registry keys. When the task called for it automatically created and populated the directories with the appropriate files.

Now this really isn't an earth shattering "discovery" or anything. It just reminds me that sometimes no matter how familiar you are with something its important to remember that the same tool can be used for different applications. If you apply that to the human condition it reminds me that although we all have various preconceptions (or even just conceptions) about the people in our lives: Every once in awhile you will be shocked in awareness that all people are dynamic beings who are able to surprise you.

In other news, just as soon as I lose my "electronic leash" I am going to lose Toronto too, for the weekend. Niagra Falls should brace itself for Deviant1 and peeps all hellbent on drunken debauchery. Hey! Everyone needs a hobby!

I am sorry to read that your life has been more than anything but work lately, however I would be more than willing to trade places with you. The treatment that I have been undergoing has made be violently ill. However, of the upside I no longer have to worry about pulling my hair out over my sixteen year old as it is falling out all by itself.
Have fun in Niagara Falls and bring LOTS of money for the casino. If you are staying on the Canadian side you should attempt to go to Honey’s on the US side as they have the best chicken wings. The only downfall to going there (Honey’s) is that you have to drink US beer (not my husbands favorite). Honey's is just across the border (10 minute drive at the most). It is worth the drive.
Have a great time!

Sorry for the blank comment I did not think my first comment had taken.

Definately, work is shitty, bu not nearly as shitty as treatment. I like the extra added bonus of not having to worry about pulling your hair out. One less thing to worry about according to my (rather primitive) way of thinking.

Honey's: I will definately keep that in mind. All I can remember from the last time that I was there was Ripley's mueseum and Maid of the mist.

US Beer? That stuff tastes like watered down piss. Although, in all honesty I am not sure what watered down piss tastes like, I'll bet its a lot like US beer.

I think I'll be swtiching to Vodka coolers or something to quaff along with the tasty wings! Thanks for the head's up!

Now that I think about, I don't even know what "full strength" piss tastes like ... I think I'll keep it that way :-)

Yep, if you go really in depth into w2k or + registries you can do some really neat shit. Of course, one can also fuck the shit up pretty good too!
